I have a painting going in a fundraiser auction for Friends of the James River. I’m pretty excited about it. The idea behind the show is 100 artists pick one of 100 photographs by Bill Draper. All the photos are different shots of the James River. They are pretty stunning photos. I picked a shot of the CSX A-Line Bridge over the James. It’s ink, watercolor, and gouache on watercolor paper. I made a cradled panel and mounted the painting. Then I varnished it and covered it in two layers of wax. Hopefully it brings in some money. And also hopefully it gets more people to see my art!
